Why all men need electrolysis after a face lift
If you are a man, you know how irritating facial hair can be. What you may not know is how irritating it can be when hair grows in or around the ear (if you are already familiar with this, you still need to come see me).
The purpose of a face lift is to tighten and remove excess skin to give you a younger, firmer face. Plastic surgeons perform the surgery and recovery is a few weeks. After recovery, your beautiful new face will begin to grow hair in places it didn’t before. The most common new place you will grow hair is in and around the ear. There’s usually a 1/4 inch space between the ear and sideburn. Hair begins to grow on the tragus of the ear and under the ear lobe. Most people who get facelifts are middle-aged and begin to grow grey/white hair (just a reminder that laser hair removal does NOT work on blonde, red, grey, or white hair).
Some plastic surgeons use a special method to ensure the hair follicles are not disturbed, and therefore make the hair removal process a lot quicker. On the other hand, when the hair follicles are damaged, the time it takes to permanently remove hair can be longer. That being said, if you’re considering a facelift, also consider the hair removal process post surgery.
