Does Electrolysis remove hair permanently?

Yes, electrolysis is considered the only FDA and AMA-approved form of permanent hair removal. It works by insertion of a needle-like probe into the follicle and applying an electric current to destroy the hair. This prevents the hair from growing back and over time the treated area becomes smooth and hair free.

However, electrolysis can be time-consuming because we are treating each individual hair. Multiple sessions are needed based on the coarseness and density of the area, which is usually determined during the consultation.
